Customer Service Executive

The Customer Service Executive – Air Freight will be responsible for managing day-to-day customer coordination, documentation, and service delivery related to CTX’s air freight operations. This role ensures seamless communication with clients, carriers, and internal teams to deliver efficient and reliable air freight solutions. The position calls for excellent customer-handling skills, attention to detail, and a sound understanding of air cargo procedures and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate air freight shipments from booking to final delivery, ensuring all operational and documentation requirements are met accurately and on time.
  2. Serve as the primary contact for customers, providing proactive updates, handling inquiries, and ensuring an exceptional service experience throughout the shipment cycle.
  3. Prepare and verify all air freight documents, including airway bills, invoices, and customs declarations, in compliance with international shipping standards.
  4. Liaise with airlines, GSAs, ground handlers, and internal teams to ensure smooth cargo movement and service efficiency.
  5. Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time departure and arrival, promptly addressing any irregularities or delays.
  6. Manage rate requests, quotations, and service proposals in coordination with the pricing and sales teams.
  7. Maintain accurate shipment records and ensure timely data entry into CTX’s freight management system.
  8. Support billing accuracy and ensure all relevant documentation is submitted to finance for invoicing.
  9. Handle service complaints professionally and contribute to resolving issues with a customer-first.
  10. Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen the CTX service experience.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in air freight forwarding or customer service within the logistics industry.
  • Strong knowledge of international air freight documentation, cargo handling, and airline operations.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in freight forwarding systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Familiarity with IATA regulations and customs clearance procedures will be an added advantage.
