We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to expand operations in the Air Cargo industry. As a Business Development Manager for the Airline Cargo General Sales Agent (GSA), you will be responsible for driving business growth, identifying new opportunities, and nurturing strategic partnerships within the air cargo logistics sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to increase market share and revenue for the airline cargo GSA.
  • Identify and engage with potential clients, including freight forwarders, shippers, and other key stakeholders in the logistics industry.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery, and addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions and services to meet the unique needs of clients, ensuring maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network with potential clients and promote our services.
  • Prepare and present proposals, contracts, and presentations to prospective clients, demonstrating the value proposition of partnering with our airline cargo GSA.
  • Monitor and track sales performance, analyse key metrics, and prepare regular reports for management review.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations, compliance standards, and best practices to ensure adherence and alignment with industry standards.
  • Continuously seek out opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the business development function.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in business development or sales roles within the airline cargo or logistics industry with minimum four years of professional working experience.
  • Strong understanding of air cargo operations, industry trends, and market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with clients and industry partners.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
