The Customer Service Executive – Ocean Freight will be responsible for managing end-to-end customer coordination and documentation processes for CTX’s ocean freight operations. This role ensures exceptional service delivery by providing accurate information, timely updates, and proactive communication to clients and partners. The position requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a solid understanding of international shipping and documentation procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate daily ocean freight shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, timely booking, and smooth cargo movement from origin to destination.
  2. Act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing updates, resolving issues, and ensuring high service satisfaction throughout the shipment process.
  3. Prepare and verify all required shipping documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, and customs documents.
  4. Liaise with carriers, shipping lines, port agents, and internal teams to ensure operational efficiency and adherence to timelines.
  5. Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and promptly communicate any deviations or delays to clients.
  6. Handle rate inquiries, quotations, and service requests in coordination with the pricing and sales teams.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date shipment records in the company’s freight management system.
  8. Support the operations and finance teams in ensuring correct billing, cost control, and timely submission of shipping documentation.
  9. Assist in resolving service complaints and implementing corrective actions to improve the customer experience.
  10. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency and customer satisfaction within ocean freight operations.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in ocean freight forwarding or customer service within a logistics environment.
  • Strong knowledge of international ocean freight documentation and shipping procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused attitude.
  • Proficient in freight forwarding systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and coordination skills.
  • Knowledge of customs processes and trade compliance will be an added advantage.
